Michael Phelps in hot water with IOC over leaked Louis Vuitton photos

Michael Phelps’ new Louis Vuitton ads may land him in some hot water, due to IOC’s regulations about promoting non-Olympic sponsors. Photos of Phelps taken by Annie Leibovitz were leaked online August 13, violating the International Olympic Committee’s controversial Rule 40 that bars athletes from promoting non-Olympic sponsors from July 18 through August 15. Punishments range from fines to a stripping of medals, but it is highly doubtful that Phelps will loose his record-breaking medal haul, as the campaign was supposed to begin in compliance with the rule on August 16, and as it is unclear who leaked the photos. Behold the brave 7 that dared to endure the 2012 edition of “NÃ³lsoyarsvimjingin”, the 15th annual swim from TÃ³rshavn to NÃ³lsoy in the Faroe Islands, about 5K from the rocks they are standing on to the island in the background. They all made it across, Erlendur Simonsen to the right the only one to have completed all 15 swims, and Cecilia Wigant Eysturdal to the left the winner of this year’s edition.

Lego builder â€œBraneâ€ managed to discover a way of creating a Lego submarine which is fully capable of navigating through an aquarium, but gave no promises of it being watertight. What made it more attractive was the fact that you could control this remotely using an Xbox controller, sporting an underwater time of approximately 20 minutes.
