The Danish Swimming Federation has today announced the final selection for the LEN 2012 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Chartres, France, with a couple of adjustments compared to the September list. Mie Ø. Nielsen and Christina Munkholm are now off the team, while Kelly Riber Rasmussen and Kristina Thomsen have been added to strengthen the relays.

But I have decided to put it behind me. Together, we must find a solution so that no swimmer has to go through the same thing I did.”

USA’s Rebecca Mann after winning the women’s 800 freestyle at the FINA / Arena 2012 Swimming World Cup leg in Berlin, Germany, in 8:16.58 ahead of Leah Smith (USA) in 8:17.96 and Lotte Friis (DEN) in 8:22.04, see result list here. Yesterday she broke the 31-year-old 1650 yard freestyle U.S. National Age Group record for 13-14 year olds with a time of 15:54.46, so yes, she certainly deserves a mention :-)
