So tricky, trying to get the perfect photo of flags in motion. I have a lot more photos, but still guess I’ll have to do a bit of photoshopping.

Life as William Winram must be breathlessly exciting. One day you’re ocean diving (without an oxygen tank) to a world record (145 metres down in three minutes, eight seconds); the next you’re swimming with great white sharks and living to tell the tale. There used to be some big-wave surfing too, but he’s given that up; a man can’t be too careful, you know.
Already on Thursday! :-)
See svoem.dk, the Herning 2013 Europeoan Short Course Championships entry lists / psych sheets are now online. I for one am happy and proud that our guy Pál Joensen is once again in a major championships final, ranked 5th in the men’s 1500 freestyle.
Right, we are a bit swamped this weekend, but here are a few numbers.
After two days of racing, Denmark leads the medal table
Their strength is in the junior division
While the Swedes lead the medal table in the pre-senior division
Individual medals are more evenly spread
Top-10 performances include all medal winners in the 1500 free
The Nordic Junior and Pre-Senior Swimming Championships 2013 are now underway, here in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. See the results from this morning’s preliminary heats. The final session starts formally at 16:00 local time, and will hopefully be live streamed on kvf.fo, with live results on LiveTiming.
I’m continuously uploading photos here on Flickr, that can be used free of charge for non-commercial purposes, as long as you remember to add something like: “Photo courtesy of Morshus, CC BY-NC-ND 2.0“. We are working on uploading videos too, from this morning’s preliminary heats.

Swimming legend Michael Phelps, winner of most medals in Olympic history, would not be drawn on Wednesday on whether he may come out of retirement for the 2016 Rio Games.
Dubbing the issue the “million-dollar question,” the 28-year-old, winner of 18 gold, two silver and two bronze medals, was visiting Brazil to shoot a commercial with football legend Pele but dodged making any commitment on a possible return to the Olympic arena.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen in three years. I don’t even know what is gonna happen tomorrow,” said Phelps when pressed on a possible return to top competition.
It’s “the million-dollar question,” he laughed.
