Bucks County swim club temporarily closed after storm injures 9
A Bucks County swim club is closed until further notice after a tree fell on a large tent, injuring nine people.
Lower Southampton Township workers surveyed the damage at Dolphin Swim Club, a public swim club run by the township, one day after a quick-moving storm blew through.
The pavilion-like tent was left mangled, crushed by a tree that authorities say was struck by lightning.

Ryan Lochte gets candid about considering death after Olympics scandal
Ryan Lochte may be focused on his comeback story, but the emotional scars stemming from the 2016 Olympics remain.
Appearing on HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel,†airing Tuesday at 11 p.m., the 35-year-old Olympian reflected on the fallout from the scandal in Rio, in which he and three teammates were accused of embellishing a tale about being robbed at gunpoint.
“There was points where, if I went to sleep and I never woke up again I’d be fine,†Lochte said. “If I just disappeared, it would be okay.â€
Though the swimmer previously opened up about how the international incident affected him emotionally, Lochte’s wife, Kayla Rae Reid, also recalled a change in his demeanor.
“Someone that has all this energy and drive and just to be completely squashed, like that,†she said.

Marathon Swimming: A Ferry for Tokyo!
Ferry Weertman is the king of open-water marathon swimming. After a stunning finish in Copacabana Bay at the Olympic Games Rio 2016, he managed to hit the finishing line before Greece’s Spyridon Giannotis, who had overtaken him a few moments earlier in the final chute. He had to call his friends in the Netherlands in order to believe his Olympic victory was true. Since then, he has followed up on his success, becoming the 2017 world champion in the waters of Lake Balaton, Hungary, before being crowned European champion in Glasgow’s Loch Lomond in 2018.
At the Gwangju World Championships in Korea, he failed to reach the podium in the 10km, the only Olympic distance, but his 7th place finish earned him one of 10 qualifying spots for the Tokyo 2020 Games. “I have mixed feelings,†he explained after the race. “I was aiming for a medal, of course. But I’m glad I qualified for the Games. I was feeling good, but it was hard getting my head up during the final two laps.â€
