  • Kenya swimming sensation Imara Bella is ready to finish the 2019 season with a bang as she targets to clinch a gold medal in this year’s CANA Zone 3 championships that will be held in Nairobi this November. Bella intensified her training as the national level two championship entered its second day at Makini school.

  • Kenya swimming federation elections will be held on 26th of this month, the interim chairman Patrick Muyah has confirmed. The elections experienced a series of postponement since last year due to unpreparedness and lack of a new constitution.

  • A swim coach in Madison County who’s been employed with the public school district is facing serious charges accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a minor in Rankin County.

    Savannah Reis of Brandon was taken into custody by the Rankin County Sheriffs Department last Friday, she’s since been released on bond.

    The 34-year-old whos husband founded the Performance Elite Aquatics Program in Madison is facing multiple accounts of sexual battery after tips to the Rankin County Sheriffs Department led them to believe she was having an inappropriate relationship with a swimmer.

    She was once trusted to watch over and train kids to be successful swimmers, but now Performance Elite Aquatics coach Savannah Reis is accused of having sexual relationships with a former athlete.

    “It was actually brought to the attention of the department through an anonymous tip,” Rankin County Sheriffs Legal Counsel Paul Holley told us. “Our investigators followed up on it brought on the form of the indictment passed down on Friday. Mrs. Reis was then booked in the Rankin County jail.”

    From Gadding’s Dam you can run (or drive) over to Hebden Bridge to explore the quiet yet epic trails that wind through the woods. Rory explains why this beautiful and unappreciated place is one of his favourite trail running places in the UK, and how the running differs from places like the Lake District.

  • This is a video of Youtuber and kayaker ShibbyTraveler dropping his GoPro in the waters of Hammerfest in northern Norway and Hvaldimir the beluga whale retrieving it for him (he says Hvaldimir stole the camera but that very clearly looked like operator error). As you may recall, Hvaldimir is the beluga whale that was found by Norwegian fisherman wearing a Russian military harness earlier this year. Well apparently he decided to stay in the area and help out with the lost and found.
