    Two hundred and fifty-four Marilyns of all shapes and sizes gathered this year (February 2020) to set a new record in the Guinness Book Of Records before swimming at Brighton Beach in Adelaide, South Australia. Money raised by the Marilyns go to Cancer Council SA for their ongoing support for cancer patients and their families.

    South African swimming champion and world record holder, Roland Schoeman, has been banned for a year after testing positive for a banned substance in May 2019. He was part of the team that won gold in the 4 by 100 meters relay in at Athens 2004 Olympics. Schoeman can challenge the ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sport should he choose to appeal.
