A California man is sharing his extraordinary survival story after being attacked by a shark. Steve Bruemmer was swimming off Lovers Point Beach in the Pacific Grove when a great white shark attacked him. The shark was believed to be 20 feet long. Good Samaritans that surrounded the beach rescued him and brought him to shore. After three weeks in the hospital, Brummer is finally home. He credits the people who jumped into action at the beach and the hospital staff for saving his life.

Missouri Swimmer Dies of Rare Brain-Eating Amoeba | ABC News
A Missouri resident who was infected with a rare brain-eating amoeba that likely happened after swimming in a southeastern Iowa lake has died.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says the patient died due to primary amebic meningoencephalitis, a rare and usually fatal infection caused by the naegleria fowleri ameba.
