With less than three months to go until the 2013 European Short Course Championships held in Herning, Denmark, the meet organizers are working diligently to ensure that people will get “an experience they will always remember,” when the championships start on Dec. 12.

Boy Scouts showed off their underwater basket weaving skills Sunday.
The scouts were at Square Lake in Stillwater. They dressed in full scuba gear and were 20 feet deep in the lake as they weaved the baskets.
Venture Crew Advisor Dave Tengdin said, “Everybody makes jokes about taking classes in underwater basket weaving. And we figured you know what, let’s make sense, let’s just have underwater basket weaving.”
Phillips lost the ring in two weeks after he got it back in ’74, when it got caught in the pop top of a beer can he tried to open on a boating trip with his future wife. He was also currently in the hospital recovering from brain surgery, and battling cancer when Tovin found him to return it (even getting down on one knee with a jewelry box to do so). Phillips was overwhelmed by the symbolic return to such a happy time in his life. “Thank you, Lord, that I got it back,” Phillips told CNN.
