Swimmers Back in Seine: Triathletes Test Water Quality Before Paris Games | Al Jazeera English

With just under a year to go before the Paris Olympics, triathletes have been braving the waters of the River Seine ahead of a test event for the Games.

Heavy rainfall last week caused water quality to fall below minimum health standards.

That is despite more than a billion and a half dollars being spent on making the river clean enough for competition.
