Olympian’s Father Calls for Mandatory Swimming Lessons in Queensland | Sky News Australia

The father of Olympian swimmer Ariarne Titmus has called for Queensland’s school curriculum to be overhauled.

Steve Titmus says mandatory swimming lessons should be taught in primary schools and students should not be allowed to progress to high school unless they are able to swim.

The call comes as Australia sees one of its deadliest summers on record where more than 30 people have drowned in waterways.
