Bobbyâ€™s parents have been poolside ever since his first competitive race at six years old. But mom and dad wonâ€™t be in the stands in Tokyo. Due to COVID-19, spectators are not allowed.
â€œIt would be amazing if they could come,â€ Bobby said.
â€œChances are we will have a better view of him swimming on TV than we would if we were there,â€ Joe said. â€œWith the way COVID is working and what they are doing in Japan, theyâ€™ll be going between the Olympic Village and the venue. There wouldnâ€™t be any time to see him. We would love to be there, but you live with what you got.â€See ABC Action News
