    Whittier Aquatics train with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department

    The Whittier College aquatics program joined with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department this week to help them strengthen their relationship with the City of Whittier, while also helping build camaraderie within the aquatics program.

    The training session occurred at Huntington Beach and allowed both the swimming & diving and water polo teams to work out with the Field Operations Training Unit (FOTU) conducting tests including overall conditioning, physical fitness and defensive tactics. The training itself was not only self-defense tactics from the elite-training unit, but was also great for team unification.
