Diver fends off 2m shark with underwater camera

Former construction diver turned underwater cinematographer Johnny Debnam, 27, was filming mates spearfishing about 3km off Dampier, Australia earlier this month, when a bronze whaler materialized out of the depths, tore into a bluebone grouper he had on his float line, and then came over to have a closer look at him. I had to push it away with the camera. It circled me at few more times, bumped the boat, had a look at the motor, circled a few more times and then took off.

– I guess this guy is happy that he wasn’t wielding a tiny GoPro ! :-)
