â€œI guess when you swim that fast in the heat, then people put pressure and more pressure on you, saying, â€˜Oh, youâ€™re going to get the gold.â€™â€ Seebohm told Australian reporters after her loss. â€œMaybe I just started believing that and just thought Iâ€™d already won by the time I had swum and I hadnâ€™t even swum yet.
â€œI donâ€™t know, I just felt like I didnâ€™t really get off (social media) and get into my own mind.â€
