“The importance of making a long-term, sustainable and dynamic provision for sports and leisure in Perth prompted a series of independent reviews and research into what could be effectively developed as a platform for taking us through to the middle of the 21st Century.

PH2O is our vision for delivering a sustainable hub of sports, leisure play and physical activities services that would include swim, gym, ice and other popular favourites as well as an enhanced offering in the form of outdoor climbing walls, high wire and adventure play.”

“At the age of 25 Dave Cornthwaite left his job as a graphic designer and embarked upon an adventure that would take him all over the world, in all kinds of different ways.

His Expedition1000 project is considered one of the most ambitious adventure projects of all time. Twenty-five different non-motorised journeys, each in excess of 1000 miles.

Narrated with passion, drive and humour, this is Dave’s story; so far.”

“The 2014 Penguin Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Idaho. This is one continuous take with a Nikon AW110 in my right hand. In previous years this was done in a portable swimming pool set up in Meridian. This year they moved it a few miles north to Eagle Island State Park, where they cut a big hole in the ice on Eagle Island Pond. The pond is not very deep. but it forms some very thick ice in winter.”
