One of China’s brightest young sports stars has been disciplined by officials within the national sports system. Two time Olympic Champion and world record-holder in the 1,500m freestyle, Sun Yang, has received punishment after reports of tensions with his coach Zhu Zhigen.

British swimmer aiming for Rio 2016 dies after cardiac arrest
Chloe Waddell, who had competed in the Olympic trials against Rebecca Adlington, went into cardiac arrest on Sunday morning. She was found unconscious by her parents, who tried to revive her at their home in Timperley, Greater Manchester, but was later pronounced dead in hospital. Read The Guardian
