Red Whale Swim School in Geneva | Myrtha Pools

Located inside Geneva Eaux-Vives railway station, Red Whale Swim School is an innovative learn-to-swim facility built by Myrtha Pools in the heart of the city.

Designed by Manta Architects, the project demonstrates how a swimming pool can be successfully integrated into an existing urban building. Located above a car park and within a shopping centre, the 19 ร— 12.8 m indoor pool was made possible by Myrthaโ€™s lightweight yet robust modular stainless-steel technology.

Heated to 32ยฐC, the pool features Myrtha Soft Floor, anti-slip flooring and integrated lighting, creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for babies, children and families. Red Whale Swim School offers swimming lessons in both English and French, with programmes for babies from two months old, children and prenatal classes.

The schoolโ€™s mission is to help young swimmers develop essential water-safety skills, confidence and technical ability from an early age. By bringing a dedicated learn-to-swim pool into Geneva Eaux-Vives railway station, the project makes swimming education more accessible and shows how existing urban spaces can accommodate valuable aquatic facilities.
