He’s been battling a back injury since taking part in his gruelling eight day charity swim down the Thames in 2011.
Two years on, and David Walliams has finally admitted defeat as he announces he’s cancelled all work commitments for the rest of the year as he prepares to undergo emergency back surgery this week.
The 42-year-old Little Britain star is to have an operation to repair a torn disc, which he suffered whilst on his swim for Sport Relief in September 2011.
