Swimming Australia coach Leigh Nugent responds to ‘culturally toxic’ accusation

Swimming Australia’s management has been criticised in an independent review of the team’s failure at the London Olympics. The review describes a ‘culturally toxic’ environment within the team with abuse of alcohol and prescription drugs, as well as flouting of curfews and bullying, going unchecked. Head coach Leigh Nugent describes the wording of the report as ’emotive’ but says all the issues raised are now being addressed. See The Guardian
