Wu beat Phelps again in the 200 fly
Yesterday evening at Charlotte UltraSwim 2011, China’s Wu Peng beat Michael Phelps for the second time in a row, in Phelps’ signature event, the 200 butterfly. Clearly also, with Wu winning in 1:56.83, and Phelps finishing second in 1:58.22. Via SwimNews.com.

Meichtry mauled Lochte and Phelps
Swiss swimmer Dominik Meichtry soundly beat Ricky Berens, Markus Rogan, Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps and others at the Charlotte UltraSwim 2011 yesterday, winning 200 freestyle in 1:48.55 against 1:49.25, 1:49.47, 1:49.48 and 1:49.89 respectively. Cullen Jones wins the swim-off, 22.24 to 22.28
Cullen Jones this evening won the 50 meter freestyle swim-off against Josh Schneider at the Charlotte UltraSwim 2011, and is therefore USA’s 2nd swimmer on the 50 free in Shanghai. Peirsol on Crippen, open water and retirement
ESPN caught up with now retired Olympian Aaron Peirsol, at the 10K Crippen SafeSwim in Fort Lauderdale, honoring Fran Crippen by doing what he lived for – racing in the open water.
