Cullen Jones this evening won the 50 meter freestyle swim-off against Josh Schneider at the Charlotte UltraSwim 2011, and is therefore USA’s 2nd swimmer on the 50 free in Shanghai. That was incredible drama!
Definitely a format that should be explored more in big competitions.
Yes, I loved the tiny detail that there were only two starting blocks :-)
