Israeli settlers are swimming in freshwater springs in the occupied West Bank as Palestinian farmers say they have lost access to water sources they have relied on for generations.
In the Jordan Valley village of Fasayil, Palestinian farmer Saad Nemer says settlers took control of an irrigation pipeline connected to a spring, cutting off water to his farmland. He says his fields and greenhouses have been left without water for three months.
Israeli settlers interviewed by Reuters defended their presence, saying the land belongs to the Jewish people and that Palestinians should not approach areas they consider theirs.
