She’s Swimming the Entire California Coastline (900 Miles) | Allez! Sports x Swim California

Today, Catherine Breed walked into the ocean at the Oregon border to begin an attempt no one has ever made before: swimming the entire 900-mile California coastline.

This isn’t just a physical challenge; it’s a world-first expedition that will test the limits of human endurance. Over the next four months, Catherine will face cold temperatures, unpredictable currents, and the toll of a journey that spans nearly a thousand miles.

We are documenting the entire expedition in real time. From the quiet sunrise launches to the most grueling setbacks and the final miles of the day—you are coming with us.

Shelter Cove, CA? We’d love to welcome her!
    Humboldt county.

    Thank you.

    1. I don’t know, but there is information here mentioning that she will mainly sleep on the boat apart from 1-2 rest days
