UofA swim assistant Matt Grevers “ecstatic” after breaking world record

Arizona swimming volunteer assistant coach Matt Grevers broke a six-year-old record in the 100-meter backstroke this weekend at the Duel in the Pool in Indianapolis with a time of 48.92.

“I knew it was going to be close,” Grevers told reporters after setting the record. “I felt really good (Friday) leading off the (400 medley) relay. I thought there would be a chance and luckily everything went really well.”
