Libby Trickett reveals she is confronting the transformation from sculpted athlete to a female figure

The four-time Olympic gold medallist, who retired last year, was renowned for having one of the most chiselled physiques in sport.

Trickett’s impressive frame led to hurtful and unsubstantiated drug rumours in 2006 and now she wants to help women nationwide embrace their bodies.

“I wasn’t a woman, I was an athlete,” she said.

“I am confronting my expectations. My body helped me become one of the best swimmers in the world. Now I’m learning to love the wobbly bits.

“I now have an appreciation for the feminine features of my body.”
