TV detective Ben Miller has revealed he almost drowned after ignoring warnings not to swim off a Caribbean beach while filming hit BBC seriesรย Death In Paradiseรย .
The actorรย got into difficulty when he waded into the sea in Guadeloupe and ended up รขโฌลrolled into the waves and thrashed to within an inch of my lifeรขโฌย.
Ben, 47, who plays detective Richard Poole, said: รขโฌลThere was a sign – in French – that said on no account go into the water on this beach.
รขโฌลI remember thinking, รขโฌหWhat absolute rubbish, itรขโฌโขs clearly for touristsรขโฌโข.
รขโฌลI wandered out there casually to cool my feet and all of a sudden it was like a man under the sand grabbed my ankles and threw me over.
