Ranomi Kromowidjojo 23.24 and new 50 free SC world record at the Eindhoven 2013 World Cup

On home turf at the FINA 2013 World Cup leg in Eindhoven tonight, the Netherland’s Ranomi Kromowidjojo managed to break the women’s 50 meter freestyle short course world record, with a time of 23.24 seconds bettering compatriot Marleen Veldhuis’ 23.25 world record from the 2008 World Championships in Manchester by the slimmest of margins.
