South Africa selects 12 for London 2012


The South African nationals came to a close today in Durban with 12 swimmers on the plane to London 2012, spearheaded by Shanghai 2011 bronze medalist Cameron van der Burgh and 4-time individually qualifying Chad le Clos. Le Clos is by the way aiming for a magnificent seven entries including three relays. Via SwimNews.

  • Suzaan van Biljon – 200 breaststroke
  • Cameron van der Burgh – 100 breaststroke
  • Riaan Schoeman – 400 IM
  • Heerden Herman – 400 freestyle
  • Kathryn Meaklim – 200 IM, 400 IM
  • Charl Crous – 100 backstroke
  • Gideon Louw – 100 freestyle
  • Darian Townsend – 200 IM
  • Wendy Trott – 800 freestyle
  • Roland Schoeman – 50 freestyle
  • Karin Prinsloo – 200 backstroke
