Friendship and competition at the 2017 Manatee County swim meet
Bayshore High’s Ryley Ober, a two-time defending state swimming champion, won the 100-yard freestyle and took second in the 100-yard backstroke. The latter event saw club teammate Anna Freed win. Mexico City 2017 rescheduled
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has announced that the World Para Swimming and World Para Powerlifting Championships that were postponed last month due to an earthquake in Mexico City have been rescheduled. Both Championships, which form part of the 2017 Para Sport Festival, will now take place between 27 November and 7 December. Read paralympic.org
