The city of Robbinsdale says the blue-green algae on Crystal Lake could be harmful to pets and people if it is ingested. While boating is a safe activity, swimmers should use caution. Water treatments scheduled for earlier this summer were postponed due to the June heatwave and ineffectiveness in treating early algae blooms.
