Chilling New Year celebration | NYC’s ‘Polar Bears’ brave freezing waters in Coney Island

Well, that’s one way to celebrate the New Year! Dozens of swimmers raced into the freezing waters for an unofficial Polar Bear Plunge in Coney Island, New York City. Usually attended by hundreds, this year’s edition was canceled due to the COVID pandemic.
