The world’s deepest diving pool has opened its doors in Poland.

Divers were seen exploring the pool near Warsaw at the weekend, when it welcomed the public for the first time.

The pool is 45m deep, and is based in the town of Msxczonow, which sits around 40km southwest of the Polish capital.

It is filled with 8,000 cubic metres of water, which is equivalent to more than two dozen Olympic-size swimming pools.

The pool – called Deepspot – caters for scuba divers and freedivers, including those taking the plunge for the first time.
