What to do if you’re scared or nervous about your first open water swim:

💧 do not make your first open water swim a race
💧 ease yourself into the water
💧 have a mantra
💧 expect the open water to feel VERY different from the pool
💧 have a consistent breathing pattern/routine to stay calm and cool
💧 your wetsuit is your friend
