Despite being Britain’s most successful swimmer of all time, the athlete has revealed she doesn’t believe that she is a ‘pretty girl’.

Ms Adlington’s frank admissions are a real surprise, proving that even the most inspirational of women can still fall victim to their own insecurities.

Rebecca became a household name after her astonishing success in the London 2012 Olympic games, but the swimmer reveals that she has suffered with the darker apects that fame can bring.

“Every day I look in the mirror and go ‘God, I’m not pretty.

“I’ve got a very big nose. That’s what most of the negative comments on Twitter are about – my nose”
