Former I’m a Celebrity campmate Rebecca Adlington has revealed she has an anxiety disorder which has caused her to suffer panic attacks.

The retired Olympic swimmer, 24, said the condition related specifically to confined underground spaces, explaining her inability to take part in several Bushtucker Trials.

She told the Daily Mail: “I have an anxiety disorder specific to confined underground spaces, and I’ve had panic attacks in the past.

“I disclosed that in my medical before I went into the jungle.

“We were never aware in advance what the trials were.

“It was up to the doctors to exempt people.

“It really was no big deal.”

I really appreciated reading this post… I used to suffer really extreme panic attacks, so I know what a pain there are, and I know how frustrating it is for a loved one to deal with you also. 2 months ago I stopped eating gluten, and within days, I stopped my anxiety and panic attacks! May not be the case for everyone, but definitely cannot hurt to try. Hope this helps!
