The Center for Disease Control says a growing number of people who swim in public pools are getting sick.

Most are getting infections from bacteria.

So the Florida Department of Health in Lee County recommends testing those pools yourself before you dive in.

Bacteria could be swimming along with you and your kids.

“It’s scary and I try not to think of it when I bring my kids here,” said Alicia Williams, who visits the North Fort Myers Community Pool with her grandchildren.
