The Danish Swimming Federation is set to receive a little over DKK 7 million (USD 1.22 million) this year from Danish government-funded elite organization Team Danmark, which is a raise of about DKK 200.000 (USD 35.000), in appreciation of their good results since 2009.

Team Danmark CEO Michael Andersen:

– The swimmers have produced really good results at both the European and World Championships from 2009 until 2012, and I think they had a good Olympics.

– We would have liked a medal, but when you look at how many finals they got into, it was a great Olympics, says Michael Anderson.
