Retired swimming superstar Ian Thorpe has been elevated to Legend status in the prestigious Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
During an interview about the incredible honour on Sunrise, which you can watch above, the five-time Olympic gold medalist joked that the news ‘definitely made my dayâ€.
“I was asked whether I was willing to accept the award and of course I said yes,†he told David Koch and Natalie Barr.
