Now we turn to the Olympics… where we are already getting Thursday’s updates… South Korean swimming sensation Hwang Sun-woo competed in the final of 100-meter freestyle but unfortunately fell short.
For more on this and other news… we have our Kim Do-yeon standing by at the news center.
Do-yeon, what an exciting few seconds that was, regardless of the result.

Mark… as always… you are on point.
An exciting moment just to see South Korean up-and-coming star Hwang Sun-woo going shoulder to shoulder with some of the greatest names in swimming.
As you said, he did fall short with a 47-point-eight-two second swim, coming in fifth, but he’s still eighteen and hopefully, a bright future awaits the swimmer.
That’s however the best score by an Asian in 69 years in the final of the event.
Caeleb Dressel took the gold as expected, beating second-place Kyle Chalmers by just zero-point-zero-six.
Hwang Sun-woo’s Olympics are not done yet though… as he’s still to compete in the 50-meter freestyle so stay tuned.
