It’s Day Five of the Tokyo Olympics.
So far today, no more medals for South Korea – but a young medal hopeful put in a strong performance in the pool, but fell just short.
For more on this and the rest of the news from Tokyo, we are joined by our Kim Do-yeon. Do-yeon, let’s start with the young South Korean swimmer competing earlier.

Mark, lots of disappointment in South Korea as, despite his best efforts, up-and-coming swimming star Hwang Sun-woo could not grab a medal in the men’s 200-meter freestyle.
He finished seventh in Tuesday’s final in a time of 1-minute-45-point-two-six seconds.
He was leading until the 150-meter mark,… but slowed on the home stretch to finish seventh.
Britain’s Tom Dean took the gold.
South Korea had high hopes for Hwang as the teenager had a sensational run to the final… becoming the first South Korean to make the final in the event since Park Tae-hwan at London 2012.

However, Hwang’s journey in Tokyo is far from done.
He’ll compete again later Tuesday in the heats for the 50 and 100-meter freestyle events.
