Olympic Swimmer Dylan Carter from Trinidad and Tobago shows you how to improve the breathing in the Butterly stroke. The hardest part is getting the breathing down. Otherwise, it can affect you in the last meters of the race as you don’t get enough oxygen, and your legs and arms start to burn. So it’s really important that you get that oxygen and that quick breath with enough air to finish your race! Three things to remember:

  1. Keep chin and lips low to the water
  2. Breath in the middle of the stroke
  3. The breath shouldn’t use a lot of energy
