This is a 10-foot white shark that was patrolling up and down New Brighton State Beach when a swimmer passed through. The shark was just minding it’s own business, warming-up, but we ended up letting the swimmer know that there was a large shark in the water that we were filming. Didn’t want to cause a panic but felt we had a duty to act, even though shark warning signs are posted at this location. At any rate, these sharks like the shallows since the water is warm there and interactions with swimmers, surfers, boogie boarders and SUP are going to be inevitable.
