A Thai soldier is getting his 15 minutes of fame, thanks to his skillful and successful resuscitation of a little puppy that nearly drowned.

According to local reports, the two-day-old puppy was discovered by a group of recruits in a garage by the barracks. A downpour had flooded the garage, and its mother could not reach it in time.

The soldier, Weeraphon Sukudom, can be seen performing traditional CPR on the baby, including patting its back to force out some of the water, and even mouth-to-mouth at one point.
