Women’s 400 freestyle

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 4:11.73

Louise Hansson won in convincing style, 4:08.81 and under the Swedish time standard for Herning 2013 with Céline Betrand second in 4:13.08 and Laura Lajunen bronze in 4:14.31.

Men’s 200 individual medley

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 1:59.64

All four first swimmers under the Swedish time standard for Herning 2013, Simon Sjödin gold in a new championships record of 1:56.04, Mattias Carlsson silver in 1:58.50, Erik Persson bronze in 1:59.06 and 4th placed Linus Kanth also on the Swedish roster in this event with a time of 1:59.62.

Women’s 100 individual medley

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 1:02.26

Magdalena Kuras dominated the race from start to finish, clocking 1:00.14 with Petra Granlund second in 1:00.95 and Nadja Salomonsson third and also under the Swedish time standard for Herning 2013 with a time of 1:01.48.

Men’s 100 butterfly

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 52.83

No swimmer qualified for the Herning 2013 in this event, Alexander Nyström beating Lars Frölander 53.13 to 53.32 with Sebastian Holmberg third in 53.50.

Women’s 50 butterfly

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 26.92

Sarah Sjöström won her first 50 fly Swedish Champs title ever, clocking 25.35 with Magdalena Kuras second in 26.65, Ida Lindborg third in 26.69 and Josefin Lindkvist fourth in 26.88. All four of them on the Swedish roster for Herning 2013 in this event.

Men’s 100 breaststroke

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 59.80

Johannes Skagius was already pre-selected for Herning 2013 in this event, and won convincingly in 59.14, Niklas Tour second and just outside the Herning 2013 time standard in 59.98 with Erik Persson third in 1:00.61.

Women’s 200 breaststroke

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 2:29.26

Joline Höstman won her sevent straight Swedish Champs title in this event, clocking 2:21.29 with Jennie Johansson second in 2:26.04, Jessica Eriksson third in 2:26.96, Vilma Ekström fourth in 2:28.24 and Elin Mårtensson also under the time standard for Herning 2013 in 2:28.48. According to the official championships day 2 review, Höstman has announced a long time ago that she will not go the Herning 2013, the site though speculating that she might change her mind. So Höstman or Mårtensson it is, I guess.

Men’s 800 freestyle

A race only for the championships honors, as the men’s 800 freestyle is not a European SC Championships event. Oskar Nordstrand won in 8:13.03, Simon Plato second in 8:14.91 and Carl Norlander third in 8:15.03.
