At the Tyrmót Ægis in Reykjavík today, the team from Aalborg in Denmark managed to break two Danish records in one race, clocking 1:50.61 in the women’s 4×50 medley, with Mie Ø. Nielsen leading out with a time of 26.96 and new Danish record in the first 50 backstroke. That is less than a second slower than the 1:49.87 world record that Indiana University had until yesterday, only now not mixed but girls only. The now former Danish women’s record in the 4×50 medley was Kvik Kastrup 1:51.29 in 2009, and the Danish women’s 50 back record Mie Ø. Nielsen’s 26.98 from the Danish team championships in March 2012. The meet results can be found here but the results from the last session are still missing.
