On this final day of the Debrecen 2012 European Swimming Championships, all top-four nations in the medal race took additional gold, but Hungary ended up in top with 9 gold medals, 10 silver and 7 bronze. Germany in seconds with 8 gold medals, 6 silver and 3 gold, and then Italy with 6 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze. Germany’s relays were the most valuable when it came to winning medals – 3 gold and 1 silver – while Laszlo Cseh of Hungary was the most valuable individual with 3 gold medals and 1 silver (plus two bronze in the relays).
