Robbie Renwick secured himself another spot on Britain’s Olympic roster, winning the 200 freestyle in 1:47.33. Gemma Spofforth and Georgia Davies qualified in the 100 backstroke, with a 1:00.19 and 1:00.21 respectively. Liam Tancock qualified also in the 100 backstroke, with a now top-ranked time in the world of 53.16, and Kate Haywood qualified in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.07.   1. Ieuan Lloyd qualified also, for for the 4×200 freestyle

    Lloyd claimed silver in the 200m freestyle behind Robbie Renwick but his 1:47.68 time was outside the Olympic qualifying standard, meaning his sights will now refocus on June’s second chance trials where he will also try and claim the remaining 400m spot.

    But the Penarth teenager has qualified for the 4x 200m relay event and will be in London this summer.
