Swimming South is in major financial strife following the possible exit of major sponsor Telkom, and funding from National Lottery fund ending in March. But now they get a helping hand from former South African swimmer and now Princess of Monaco Charlene Wittstock, offering them to host the South African Olympic team for free from June 1, ahead of the London 2012 Olympics. South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) CEO Tubby Reddy says: “We only have to cover travel expenses. She will take care of everything else.
