With only 4 weeks to go before the Olympic trials, Stephanie Rice reveals that her shoulder is basically sore at every session, never really healed after the arthroscopy in December.

“They can’t repair the tendon, it’s a six-month rehab, so I obviously didn’t have time for that,” Rice said.

“They just basically went in and cleaned it up as best as they could and I don’t know if that was the best option to have surgery right now because it didn’t really do anything.

“I had a cortisone a few weeks ago and that really seems to have settled it down a bit and I’ve been able to get through a decent amount of training. Hopefully, it would hold together for these last couple of weeks before the Olympic trials.”
