Norwegian swimmer, Alexander Dale Oen, mourned the victims of the recent tragedy in Oslo and Utøya in Norway. He set the fastest time (59.37) in the 100 breaststroke semi-finals at the XIV FINA World Championships in Shanghai today.

Alexander broke down in tears during an interview with nrk.no after the heat.
“I pointed at the flag to show that it is important that we stand together for what has happened at home. The most important thing now is not swimming”
When asked about what he thought about the tragedy back home he said:
“I have no words. It is too horrible.”
Later Alexander tweated:
“Its been a long day, extremly exhausting emotionally. Now its all up to finding those positive moments the next 18 hours.”
